由于Opteron和Athlon 64源自相同的架构,因此在系统软件测试中不会体现出什么优势,不过Opteron支持多路处理器,这才是它的强项。这次测试配置的是Registered DDR333内存,这也限制了它性能发挥。不过nForce Professional的I/O扩展能力强大,它支持了真正的双路PCI-Express x16总线,除此之外还提供了一根PCI-Express x4插槽和两根PCI-Express x1插槽,可以接入高速的I/O设备。WinFast NFPIK8AA可以配置成图形工作站,双PCI-Express x16总线可以使用两块Quadro图形卡,并工作在SLI模式,千兆以太网带有TCP/IP Offload引擎(TOE),这个引擎能够降低CPU占用率,把一部分处理交给网络接口卡实现,提高网络性能。
